How to share your skills online without showing your face

· By Usama Ghazi · 3 min read

You can share your skills online without showing your face by posting your work, your hands and your process instead of yourself. aazmao is built for this: you use a handle instead of your real name, and the work is what people come to see.

Why do people want to stay faceless?

There are many good reasons:

  • You are shy, or you do not want to be judged on how you look
  • You are a student and want to keep your online life separate from school or family
  • You work a job and want to share side projects privately
  • You simply believe your work should matter more than your identity

None of these should stop you from sharing what you can do.

What can you post without showing your face?

Almost every skill can be shown through the work itself.

SkillWhat to post
Cooking or bakingThe dish, and close shots of your hands at each step
Drawing and designThe finished piece and a short time lapse of the sketch
CodingA screenshot of the app, a short demo, the problem you solved
Pottery and craftsThe piece from a few angles, your hands at the wheel
Electronics and repairBefore and after photos, the circuit, what went wrong
WritingA short excerpt and what you learned writing it

The rule on aazmao is simple: show the work, not the face. Your hands tell the story.

Step by step: your first faceless post

  1. Pick one small thing you made this week. Small is fine. A first attempt counts.
  2. Take 2 or 3 clear photos. Use daylight, clear the background, and keep faces and personal details out of the frame.
  3. Write three lines. What you made, how you made it, and one thing you would do differently.
  4. Post it as a Make on aazmao. Add a skill tag so the right people find it.
  5. Ask one question. "How would you fix the uneven edge?" gets better replies than "What do you think?"

How do you stay safe while sharing?

Even without a face, small details can reveal who you are. Before you post, check for:

  • School or office logos, uniforms and ID cards
  • House numbers, street signs or views from your window
  • Names on screens, notebooks or packages
  • Location data in your photos (turn it off in your camera settings)

aazmao also protects you by design. You never have to use your real name or a face photo, and there are no phone numbers on profiles. Members aged 16 and 17 are in a protected tier where private contact with adults is blocked by the system.

Frequently asked questions

Can I grow without showing my face?

Yes. On aazmao you grow through ranks, stamps and avatar items that you earn by posting and helping others. None of it depends on your looks.

Is aazmao anonymous?

It can be. You can use a handle instead of your real name and an avatar instead of a photo. Showing more is always your choice.

What if I want to show my face later?

That is your choice. You can add a real name or photo if you want to, but you never have to. Your work stays the focus either way.
