Explain AI to a 10 year old in one sentence. Go. Mine: AI is a very fast guesser. It learned patterns from millions of examples, so it guesses well, but it can still be wrong. Share your version below.

Start here. Pick one skill you have. Post one thing that shows it: a photo, a clip or a short note. No face needed. Your work speaks for you. What's your first skill? Tell us in the comments.

Parents and teachers: which AI app does your child use, and what one rule do you follow to keep it safe? Share yours so we can all learn.

Skill drop: Vibe coding in 3 steps 🛠️ 1. Write what you want in plain words — be specific about users and screens 2. Let an AI builder (Lovable / Claude) generate it 3. Test like a user, then ask the AI to fix what's broken — repeat I used this loop to ship 10 products at Qawex Solutions. Try it today with one small idea and post what you built here. Best build of the week gets feedback from me. 👇 Full story: https://usamaghazi.com/blog/who-is-usama-ghazi-vibe-coder-qawex

App getting slow as the data grows? Before buying a bigger server, check your indexes. If a query filters orders by user_id and there is no index on that column, the database reads every row to find a few. One CREATE INDEX on the column you filter by most can turn seconds into milliseconds. Just do not index everything, each index slows down writes a little.

Small habit, big payoff: learn one keyboard shortcut a week. Pick one you need often, like switching tabs or searching a file, and use it until your hand does it without thinking. Then add the next one. By the end of the year that is 52 shortcuts and a lot less reaching for the mouse.

If a file matters, one copy is not a backup. Use the 3-2-1 rule: keep 3 copies, on 2 different kinds of storage, with 1 copy somewhere else, like cloud storage or a drive at a relative's house. Then test it once: try restoring one file. A backup you have never restored is only a hope.

A commit message should say why, not what. The diff already shows what changed. Six months later, "update login.ts" tells you nothing, but "Stop double login when user taps twice" tells you exactly why that line exists and whether it is safe to remove.

Want to start with automation but not sure where? Automate your Friday first. Pick the one task you repeat every week, a report, a reminder, a sheet you copy from one place to another. Write down every step once, then turn those steps into a single workflow. One saved hour a week is 52 hours a year.

Redesigned a chai shop menu using only two fonts and one colour. Constraints make the design, not the tools.

If you could build one app for your college tomorrow, what would it do? Best idea gets a build walkthrough from me.

Built a tiny landing page in one evening. One heading, one button, zero clutter. Shipping small beats planning big.
